“The rooms are excellent ”

“Overall very good”

“On the hottest day of the summer the long walk up Steep Hill seemed never ending. It was worth it when we reached this hotel. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The communal areas were inviting and beautifully decorated. The stairs and corridors to the room were like a rabbit warren but spotless and classically decorated. The room was stunning, it looked so inviting. Beautiful bedding, lush carpet, thick blackout curtains, a couple of chairs, a side table and drink making……

“ It seems that the staff are not used to greet guests good morning and the like. Also ,the restaurant is under renovation until end March, so reduced breakfast has to be served inside room. The environment outside the hotel is good,though, with many restaurants nearby.”

“Direction by the hosts was spot on! Upon arrival we were a little early but as our room was ready they let us check in straight away. Staff were all super friendly and even offered to bring our bags in. Full guide or room was given. The room was beautiful and facilities were excellent including a mini fridge, milk (and oat milk for hubby), bottled water, handmade herbal tea selection, even umbrellas in the wardrobe incase it was wet! Breakfast was fabulous and really tasty, so much choice and……

“離市中心一般，回酒店時要經過一條很斜很斜的路（Steep Hill），沒有自駕車極不便。 雖然有升降機到達3樓，但經濟房間那邊，仍然要經過約5至6級梯級，要搬運較重的行李箱極不便。 服務員，態度好。剛入住時，天氣非常熱，詢問要把風扇，第2天才有，已是幸運。”

“This is a lovely hotel. Great situation opposite the castle, so at the top of the hill! Continental breakfast of pastries, fruit, yogurt, cold meats, cheese toast. Plenty to choose from. We had a standard room which was spacious and nicely decorated. Large shower room. The plug sockets had been upgraded to include USB and phone charger sockets so you don’t need a plug. Just a few minutes walk to the steep hill and then onto the shopping centre and round to the waterfront. There is plenty of……

“I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I have to say a great big thank you to the chefs who really took care of my dietary needs with real kindness. I would recommend this lovely hotel in a perfect location and am planning my next visit.”
