“On a whim we decided to fly to the Big Island and avoid the crowds and get a little hometown feel in Hilo. We missed the volcano eruption by just two days but that was the only disappointment for the trip. Our accommodations were perfect - exactly as described and photo’d. The welcome treat and coffee was a very nice touch. This was a perfect location to spend a day at Hawaii Volcano Ntl Park and another day driving around the island. “We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was peaceful and a nice getaway but still close enough to Hilo. The view of the ocean every morning as the sun rises is so special. We loved meeting all the adorable chickens and ducks. The accommodation itself is simple but functional with all needed amenities. Host was awesome! ”
