“The oak tree inn was a good choice for a one night stay. The drinks were nice and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was nice and clean. Tv remote was very slow and shower wasn't great. Bed was only a double and prefer king size but was fine for stop over stay”

“Check-in was easy. Excellent welcome and key system explained. Minor issues. 13amp sockets not easy to access, took a while to find the spare sockets, all were behind furniture! Only one bedside lamp. Not a major issue this time, as we only needed the room for sleeping. However, for a longer stay bedtime reading would have been an issue. Problem with the door handle being loose. It was reported and we were assured that it had been logged and would be dealt with. We will be staying again……

“Large spacious rooms, well furnished, friendly staff, a grand building. But, the cord for the kettle did not reach any sockets (apart from placing when it on the floor (room 205) and the wifi in that room is poor (it was great in 207)”

“A real find, we can't believe the great value for money offered here. The room was big, well laid out and equipped with a decent bathroom and even a provate area to sit outside. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the staff all friendly and helpful. Excellent!”

“Very nice overall. only 5 min from Beamish and 15 min walk through the woods to the lovely Causey Arch. Staff very friendly and helpful. Couple of bits a little bit tired but acceptable. Breakfast a little limited but you can always find something from the continental side. Evening meals were excellent, we stopped two nights and dined both times and every meal had a wow factor. Thanks too all had a lovely stay ”

“Really good home cooked food at a good price too but hotel side of the pub was a little expensive considering breakfast wasnt included but it was comfortable and clean and nice for me personally to have memory foam pillows instead of feather filled ones. ”

“浴缸花灑頭岀水太少，不足以淋浴。廁所出口有滲水情況嚴重。職員有發現狀況，但沒有即時按排換房服務。反而留言給我避免使用企缸。叫客人接受滲漏情況直至離開酒店。完全沒有考慮到客人需要及服務質素極差劣。需要經過投訴後才按排最後一晚才更換房間。”

“Friendly staff and clean, spacious room. Not easy to walk there from the rail station. However, One can get there easily through a steel bridge (which was not shown in the map) linking it to the Freeman’s Quoy Centre at the Peninsula, near the Premier Inn Durham. Good and reasonably priced dinner.”
