“Great staff and hotel”

“Staff are worth their weight in gold and the Canford boasts some heavy weights. Take a walk along the nearby promenade and take in the surrounding area and its wealthy residents. Food at breakfast and dinner was superb. This establishment like so many other places is a dog friendly hotel and bar. On a damp day, your nose will remind you. I tried to plug in my firestick at the back of the telly but was put off by the avalanche of dust. Bathroom window is losing the fight against the ivy growing……

“Second time staying at the hotel and loved it, so close to the seafront and shops, loved the room and breakfast too. ”

“The host was very welcoming shows he had a passion for his work and cared about the guest experienced. Was a 5 minute walk to the beach and Bournemouth town centre still within easy access ”

“You will hear the sound of wood platform while other guess walking around. This ok to me as I live in a lousy place. It would be a problem for those request absolute quiet.”

“A friend and I stayed for two nights on Bank Holiday. The welcome was friendly, everything worked and the service was excellent. The decor in the main house was rather tired butwas adequate and the room price reflected this.The food was good and the beds comfortable.”

“Our room was a nice size for 3 of us, the beds had random feet on them, pieces of wood glued together.. little things 1 toilet roll , the tv didnt work, the shower doors we falling off, no shower gel ; etc provided, the toilet seat was loose and kept moving, the sink was dirty under the rim..no matching furniture in the room, under the cabinets dirty found a random piece of wood, only 2 cups when 3 off us stayed, so not enough tea , coffee etc..a old mattress, and other rubbish left at the back……

“A nice hotel that is looking tired. Our room was rather dusty with cobwebs on the balcony. It feels like no investment has been made in this hotel in a long time, which is a shame. Great location though and nice spa. Lovely breakfast and the staff at breakfast were great. ”
