“Fantastic stay, great pub, amazing home cooked food. Simple menu but everything done very well. Proper chef with flair at work here. Room very nice. A warming pub on a cold winter’s day. 10/10 from us. ”

“Lovely stay. The staff was great! Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. ”

“Our stay was fine. My other half became cold during the night. I had to switch the fridge off as it was noisey and we could hear road noise in the morning. The engineered oak floor requires attention. All minor issues and overall our stay was fine.”

“Great pub, all the staff were really friendly and accomodating. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast (which doesn't start until 8:30am), but they were really amazing in trying to help us and they did make us a breakfast sandwich to take away which was much appreciated.The bed also was very comfortable!”

“Hotel was excellent - it was great to be able to use the spa facilities (we used the hot tub and sauna but didn't use the pool) as when we were there the weather was rubbish. Dinner and breakfast were great too, as were the staff.”

“It is a lovely B&B. A little remote but beautiful views all around. Stayed two nights in the Boots room. Nice big room with large double bed, little sofa, couple of chairs and a gorgeous deep window sill, perfect for the morning cuppa and views across the fields. Bathroom was a good size as was the shower. Nothing worse than a tiny shower cubicle and this was a nice big space. They are horses and alpacas at the property. The roads to and from are a single track and rather rural. Take is easy and……

“Fantastic hotel! We would definitely stay here again. The staff were lovely, and the food was excellent. Our room was warm and comfortable with everything we needed - a few cobwebs and a dusty vase lost them a star on cleanliness. Overall though, we loved it and would highly recommend! ”
