“This place was Great. It was very clean and had all we needed to feel at home. The walk to the river was beautiful, I wish it was summer but nevertheless it was so very nice. Restaurants and downtown shopping are a rock throw away and a must to visit Gruene Historical District. We had a fabulous time, thank you Romantic Casita for hosting us. “We had a blast in Gruene. Checking out the music scene and retreating to this little cottage. It was the perfect stay. A short drive from Gruene Hall and just barely out of town a lot to see so many deer in the yard. The cottage was clean, well kept and the bed was one of the most comfortable that I’ve ever slept in. I highly recommend this place. Would stay there again if I find myself in that neck of the woods again”

“A great place to stay. It's not walkable to the main square but it's a really short drive and the square can get really busy and traffic jammed so it's nice to be situated away from that. The unit itself was clean, amenities were well kept and clean. I liked the personal candle they left. I'd definitely stay again.”

“This is a great place to getaway from thr hustle and bustle of everyday life. My fiance and I had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tube or just sitting in the backyard listening to the animals. Each evening we were visited by 3 deer, what a treat. The house is spacious and clean. We would definitely come back. Thank you for sharing your house with us.”

“My boyfriend and I stayed here for spring break and it was perfect for us, we are 20 and 21. The location is not far from Wimberly or New Braunfels, I think is was like 20 minutes to either of there downtown areas. It has everything you need and the place is so cute and quiet. Coming from a college town we were so surprised how quiet it was! Cost was a big factor on where we decided to stay because we didn’t want to break the bank on our trip and this place exceeded our expectations. You could……

“Very quiet and the room was clean. They provided coffee and we also had a refrigerator in the room. Parking was so easy. Very walkable to Gruene, about 10 minutes. The only issue we had was the electrical plug in the bathroom did not work. I let them know at check out and got an immediate response. This was our second stay at this property and we will return again.”

“We came to Canyon Lake for a wedding and this property was perfectly located to a lot of hot spots. It’s a cute spot. My only mild complaints were they could stand to replace the mattress (it’s very noisy and uncomfortable) and the shower pressure is extremely low. It made washing your hair quite difficult. ”

“This was a great place and perfect for our family of 4. One main issue we had (really the only thing) is there are no curtains in the bedrooms. It would be sooo nice if they added curtains to block out the morning light. Also, could use some updated sheets, the ones on our bed were pilling pretty bad. Other that those 2 things, it was a great stay and we hope to be back! ”

“This place was paradise to us. We wanted a cousin couples getaway without our children and this property did not disappoint. We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided not to go into town until check out. The property is peaceful with a beautiful mountain view, lawn and there was even a garden. Us moms can appreciate a thriving garden. We already have planned on coming back. ”
