“We gas the first morning had till 11 am to have a hot drink. When hot water is on the boiler is very noisy. The bathroom was too narrow and the towel hooks stcking out did not help. The oven did not smell right when lit and we did not use it. ”

“Beautiful location and lovely building, which has recently been refurbished. Very clean and tidy. Special thanks to all the very helpful and pleasant staff, especially the girls who were serving in the restaurant at dinner and the chef - food was really good. A minor point was lack of space in the room for clothes, and a shelf and towel rack in the bathroom would have been handy. Would definitely recommend the White Horse, though, we had a lovely stay.”

“Minuscule hotel car park. Ended up parking 10min walk away on 1st night. Parked on street next night (after 9pm). Chargeable from 08:30 in morning with max 4 hrs stay. So can’t leave car for day and walk around town. Ok room. En-suite had tiny sink on very weathered wood surface. Shower ok but leaky screen, so floor was very wet after. Good amenities with nice teas, coffee & water available Housekeeping very efficient & excellent breakfast ”

“The couple running this guesthouse make every effort to ensure you have an amazing stay. The room we stayed in was well proportioned, with large shower room, and balcony with sea view. There were all the ‘products’ you could want, and all of very high quality. The breakfast is lovingly cooked presented by Jo. She does the best poached eggs, and we had them served in a variety of ways. ”

“Staff were very friendly and professional but the overal cleanliness of the room could be improved ( loose dirt on window cill inside room and carpet should have been hoovered and the door hook on the inside of the bathroom door was broken) and also issues with the maintenance i e tv bracket not fixed to wall securely and also tv bracket angle was loose , shower head rail was very loose as well and the circular towel holder should be fixed next to sink inside bathroom not outside the bathroom……
