“It’s hard to comment properly as we arrived late in the dark but even still the staff on the desk were so friendly greeting us, and super helpful and understanding when I realised I’d made a mistake with the booking. It’s lovely and quiet despite being so close to the motorway. Immediately put at ease and reassured that it’s a great place to stay, even if as it is for us just an overnight stopover mid journey. ”

“This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The room was wonderful - comfortable and clean, with nice extra touches. The bed was so comfortable it was difficult to get up in the morning! The restaurant was wonderful - excellent food and service. Breakfast was also excellent. Will definitely book again next time we are in the area.”

“Very remote location. Hotel was a little tired but the room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Large car park and good WiFi. Would recommend.”

“The staff, the food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking is just across a quiet road. Our room however left us literally cold. Old building, 'wavy' floors, single glazed casement windows facing the prevailing - brisk - wind and an outside temperature of close to freezing. Then the heating gets switched off for the night ! Considering that this was the most expensive 'one nighter' on our recent trip, we were less than satisfied.”

“Service was so good and the food was of high quality very tasty. Our room was ok at first cold but warmed up soon I asked. The bathroom was odd but tight for space so I felt the room was quite small for two people but honestly the staff made up for the lack of comfort.”
