“The experience was great from before we got there to after we left. The staff at Casa da Galeria is amazing! They are super friendly and professional. They will answer any questions you have or help you with anything you need. They were proactive even before we got there. Their breakfast is amazing. You order what you want to eat every day and they come right on time. They even packed us a bag of stuff since we were leaving for the airport early. They have a tiny parking garage for 3 cars but……

“Room was spotless. Bed was very comfortable. The place was welcoming and with lovely decor touches. Pedro and his wife were super nice and helpful. They also helped with booking tours- making sure we get a discount. Breakfast was nice, included homemade cake and cookies. In the heart of downtown! I certainly recommend this place.”

“Friendly staff, especially after a few days in the hotel. Great advice for restaurants. Very clean and excellent location. Incredible views and hikes just outside of the hotel. Dining options around holidays were limited and service was lacking. Perhaps it was due to holidays, but the special dinner was expensive and really did not match our expectations, or depart far from breakfast (which is quite nice). Excellent spa and a good value massages.”

“We liked the Casa da Contador very much. It’s an old school - an amazing building. We had a T1 suite which had a door separating a generous sized bed and bath from the kitchen/dining sofa room. Good sized closet. I am rating 4 stars due to a tiny bathroom that was difficult to maneuver and it being 41/2 flights up to the 2nd floor. Parking is easy enough to not be an issue. Breakfast was okay and nice to have.”

“We had the pleasure of staying 10 nights at Senhora da Rosa with half board - and we immensely enjoyed both the delicious food at both restaurants and the lovely pool and spa facilities. Despite visiting in november, well out of the vacation season, we lacked for nothing: everyone were extremely polite and acommodating and we had a great time. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone considering visiting the Azores!”
