“Beautifully appointed cabin in a peaceful setting. The bikes and the close proximity to the bike trail was a perfect way to see the surrounding area with little hassle. Look forward to our next visit!”

“Check in was easy. The place was very clean and well stocked. The property has a nice beach area. I don’t realize how small space was. It is on a very busy road and other tenants were out in parking lot talking and could be heard inside along with loud bass cars after 11pm. Also noted smell of recreational substance waffling in the bungalow. Not really ideal environment for children as they struggled to sleep with all the noise. We were in number 1 so closest to road. ”

“Perfect location for visiting family in the area. Cabin was quiet and comfortable. The hosts (Rob and Mary) thought of everything we might need and sure enough it was there. The provided kayaks were a big hit!”

“We had a wonderful time at the property with our dogs. We rented the larger pontoon boat for the day and enjoyed the 5 lakes. It was beautiful. ”

“I hadn't had a vacation in about 2 years and needed a getaway. My husband and I originally had other plans, but work got in the way so we had to change them. We found the host and his cabin on Vrbo for a short stay and it was amazing! It was clean, welcoming, on a small lake with a dock, or a fire pit to sit and relax at. It was everything for a nice quiet weekend. The host was close by if we needed anything, yet we still had a nice private cabin. It was so fun and the area had tons of outdoor……

“Absolutely perfect space and property! I wish we all could have stayed longer. Everything needed was laid out impeccably! A couple of small items: the amount of toilet paper was insufficient -- what was described was, 3 rolls would be provided in each bathroom. Instead each bathroom had only partial rolls. We had to go out to purchase more! Paper towel was also in short supply.Other then these small items, we all loved the Sleeping Bear Lair... It helped us all get rested and ready for race day!”

“Privacy. Gorgeous beach, particularly for rock collectors. House was as advertised- homey, comfortable with fantastic views of the lake.”

“I was really torn due to location. Love that I had access to the beach. But the traffic noise at night while sleeping is hard to handle. Went and bought some ear plugs and that helped alitle. The cabin was the right size and clean. But someone forgot to mop the floors and I was sticking to them with or without my slippers. But other than that, no complaints, and will return when back in Traverse City”

“This property is great. I had a group of 8 adult men and we had enough room for all of us. The property photos are accurate, common spaces are as described and large enough for gathering. Great porch, quiet area, was really happy with our choice.”

“As soon as we arrived, we realized there was a broken toilet seat and lid. I contacted the host. Her response was quick as was her arrival to fix the problem. 5 stars for customer service alone. ”

“Plenty of room for four, location was perfect for our family group. We saw deer in the backyard! Would have liked a bigger tv to watch movies on but that minor detail would not stop us from renting again if we are back in the area.”

“My wife and I were looking for a nice relaxing quiet but still fun place to be for 4th of July weekend and we hit the JACKPOT! The cabin is cozy and very nice. Beautiful views. Everyone around the area especially Sally (host) were super nice and friendly. Traverse city is only a 15-20 minute drive away which is super convenient. Had the best time and probably going to book again this summer. ”
