“The staff were very helpful ”

“The hotel actually has two sections on two sides of the bridge. We were expecting to be on the water side but was disappointed. The room only has a small window facing the back of the hotel. Nothing impressive at all. The staffs were not helpful on anything. We were asked by the front desk to go across the bridge to make booking at the hotel restaurant. ”

“Last minute booking, so not much time researching. Room was small but clean, tea and coffee making facilities. Shower was good and. Could not hear the live band that was playing, but had some noise off the street. Would have scored more but the staff were a bit rude when I asked for extra pots of milk. Good location, only on street parking. ”

“Lovely stay. The staff was great! Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. ”

“The staff were all polite and helpful. The room was clean tidy and had a very good nights sleep so bed was comfortable. Situated in a great place we went to the Picturedrome which was next door. Thank you for a wonderful stay would definitely stay again ”

“A classic hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms. Friendly and competent receptionists. Nice breakfast. Continent breakfast self-served buffet or hot, customised English breakfast That take quite a while. If come by train, need to get a taxi ride of 8-10 minutes. We arrived late in the evening. Have to queue for half an hour at the taxi stop.”

“Check in: at the bar. Wait for 5 minutes as the staff served at the bar at that time. Wifi: good. Room: spacious, clean. One grocery shop near by, 5 minutes walk. No self laundry service. Breakfast: not buffet except juoice, milk and cereal, ok, basic. ”

“We had a fabulous 1 night stay, room was beautiful, patio area was great too. Only negative feedback was no milk and only a coffee machine which was awful for tea drinkers as the water tastes like coffee still. Saying this however we would come back and just bring a kettle! :0)”
