“I want to discourage everyone from staying at the Royal Frenchman… in order to keep this place to myself! Don’t stay here if want a modern hotel, with many modern amenities, lacking in character and charm. Don’t stay if colorful staff with a passion for the music of New Orleans ( which they bring nightly to the hotel lobby or courtyard) is not your thing. “The property was satisfactory and close to the outlet mall and convention center. Staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean but are showing signs of wear and could use some updating. WiFi was supportive for my work needs. Restaurants have a satisfactory selection of options but nothing really stood out. I’d say a visit across the street is a nicer steak restaurant at 4 seasons if that is what you’re looking for. Not bad for a quick stay.”
