“This home surpassed our expectations. It was very clean, well-stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. When we communicated with the host she was very quick to respond and address any requests. The property was about 10 mins from Luray and about 18 mins from the national park so it was far enough in the country to be secluded but close to amenities. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting this area!”

“The Cottage at Ravens Roost was a wonderful venue for us to rest as we explored the Shenandoah Valley. The dogs on the property were so friendly and adorable! We loved watching the horses in the mornings. Not to mention the farm fresh eggs and the raspberry lemon bread that we were surprised with when we arrived! Excellent hosts, excellent stay. “The cottage was very cute. It definitely could have been cleaner, as there were waxy lip prints on the bedroom window and a few dark smudges on the walls of the bedroom and bathroom. Also, it wasn’t made clear in the description that most of the one-lane, curvy road leading to the property was dirt/gravel. If it had been raining, it would have been pretty treacherous in a small car. My SUV handled it fine, but it did get very dirty. Overall, the property was quiet, comfortable and fairly well……

“We only had three days to pack in as much outside time as we could, and this lovely house was a perfect base. It was an easy drive to Shenandoah National Park, Harrisonburg and Grand Caverns. We cooked for ourselves and the kitchen had everything we needed. We grilled outside and had a lovely fire in the fire pit. Everything was wonderful!”

“We came for two nights to escape NOVA for a bit with our kids and dog and it was so lovely! We started with lunch and wine at the Tasting Room and it was delicious, the staff was extremely welcoming and attentive, and the decor and grounds were really cute. Guy let us check in early as the house was ready and it was so gorgeously decorated. It really felt like a home, not a sterile rental. Our family didn’t want to leave. Getting to walk the grounds with my dog as well as the kids was just……

“This little cottage was very clean and cozy. It is far off the road but close to a lot. A great location for Skyline drive. Good eats nearby. I would recommend an SUV, a sedan might bottom out on the road coming in. I gave 4 stars overall because of the latrine.. It is a compost toilet and there is an odor. The flies were bad because of this. Don’t plan to do a lot of cooking. Pots pans utensils were limited. We cooked steaks on the gri and our forks and knives bent trying to cut them. We have……

“The property was quite cozy, off the main road, and extremely peaceful. Sitting in the hot tub looking at stars was a great way to end the night. Located about 40 minutes from Lurray and a short drive to Massanutten leaves plenty of options for the whole family. The property seemed well maintained by the host and we felt welcome upon arrival. We will likely be back next year!”
