“This house was absolutely perfect. It's SO close to Maggie Valley's happy places, but JUST far enough up the road to feel like you are completely in the mountains. There was the perfect amount of creek running throughout the property to listen to on the back porch and the home is really well stocked for all the cookware, pans, plates, cups etc. you need when preparing meals. It was really easy to find as well. You are among the treetops, with creeks and privacy, but then 5 minutes of a drive……

“We loved our stay at The Bear Den! So easy to find and in the heart of Maggie Valley. The house was clean , cozy, and comfortable. We loved sitting on the deck in the porch swing, looking at the beautiful mountain views and listening to the song birds. Our first morning there , we woke up and were greeted by 3 elk in the yard, and a turkey and her 5 babies. The house was close to the Blue Ridge Parkway so we drove up to hike Waterrock Knob towards Asheville, and we also enjoyed driving up……

“Great location, easy to access property. Great stock of items in kitchen, beds were comfy and the property is on the little creek. it did look like the property sustained some damage from Helene, but did not affect our stay. We were unable to access the stairs down to the creek, but a quick walk around the back of the property does allow access to the lower area where the creek is. Hopefully the owners will have the repairs completed soon, this is such a wonderful property and Bruce and……

“It was an easy last minute booking to make. A business meeting in the mountains. The motel was easy to find. Located right on the road. Parking area is ample enough with assigned spaces. There is noise from the road, can not be helped. Rocking chairs located outside room for your enjoyment . It’s close to all the venues and activities in the area. Room with king bed is spacious.
