“When we checked in, we did not stay in the actual Queen Catherine. Instead they walked us across the street to the three tuns hotel. I'm guessing it's part of it but they don't really make that known while booking. Otherwise it was a good stay and nice accommodation. Breakfast was good. ”

“Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.”

“An absolutely stunning place. Booked for a weekend away for my wife’s birthday. On arrival got upgraded to a suite which was an incredible room with a fantastic view. Nothing was too much trouble for Mark and Suze. Rudby Hall is a gorgeous place with beautiful views. Breakfast was excellent would certainly return. Can’t recommend it enough. Thank you to both of you for making it a memorable weekend ”

“Penny Hedge is a friendly, clean , comfortable little hotel. We have stayed here a few times. The breakfast is reasonably priced and of good quality. The food in the bar is good on an evening. All the staff are very friendly and helpful in all areas . The rooms are very clean and comfortable . The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and adequate. We will always stay here when coming gif a break in Whitby and surrounding areas. ”

“Everything was perfect with our stay, the staff are amazing. We received a lovely little gift of chocolates for our anniversary celebration and a card. Ate in the bar and the quality of the food was outstanding. Will definitely be returning ”
