“We were welcomed by the family. We were helped to choose from an extensive menu for our evening meals. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh fruit and a variety of cereals. The main course had
several tasty options including eggs Benedict and eggs
royale. Coffee came with hot milk as requested.
Our room was spacious with plenty of hangers and hanging space. Coffee, tea and chocolate were provided with a small kettle. ”
“Attention to detail was excellent secure parking was a bonus . Location was central but in a quiet place. Lovely room clean and comfortable. We would return. ”
“Lovely quiet arra to rest durung business trips, but paying for additional room space wasnt worth it as i had trouble getting in and out the shower due to the door being tight to the toilet. The restaurant also seems to have gone down hill and i was served almost burnt and greasy chips with my gluten free meal”
“Very friendly staff who suggested a good place to eat while they didn't serve food on Monday and Tuesday. Lovely walks around and surprisingly quiet. New decor in the bedroom was very nice.”

“I don't know what to say other than I have sent my review to YHA with "top marks" for everything. From the friendly welcome received on check-in to the cleanliness of the room allocated, everything was absolutely perfect for the overnight stay. I slept very well & enjoyed the morning coffee in the café downstairs. It was all spot-on and excellent value for money. I will recommend to friends and I would like to book to stay there again. ”

Checked into room but it soon proved to be in a noisy location with an entry door being banged shut by other guests. Needed a soft closure fitted. I was moved to another room which was lovely and seemed to have been refurbished. Bed was a bit soft but that’s personal preference.
