“Characterful hotel with lovely spa & gym facilities. The hotel is a bit dated and in need of some referbishments. Our original assigned room was not made up when we got up to it and had to go back to reception. This seemed like a complete shock to the person on reception but the dirty linens were still on the floor, the un-made duvet and pillows were thrown on the bed and there was rubbish and used items from the tea set about the room. After the receptionist made a few quick phone calls we were……

“Very well located with the racecourse on one side and walkable distance to the city centre on the other. Also next to a bus stop for those wanting to travel further. Reception staff was professional and although the system failed and we have been assigned somebody else's room, it has been quickly dealt with and we've been given an upgrade. Room was nice and clean with comfortable bed. Luck of a fridge was a big minus. Bathroom clean with part of the mirror that doesn't steam, which was a nice……

“Great staff on the front desk. Great location. Large size room, clean linen, bathroom, kitchen and sitting space. Skirting boards dusty. Easy lift. Good parking. Tight but fits perfectly when everyone is parked properly. ”

“Had very bad night sleep very loud vibration behind the bed in the wall , we looked to see whether there was a switch to turn off air conditioning system that we hadn’t noticed ( was still awake at 2:50) there wasn’t. We told the manager )?) in the morning he said Yes I noticed this morning someone hadn’t turned off the fans which make a very loud noise in room 3. Sorry.
