“We were living in the room close to the main road. It could be quite haunting during the night and I was almost sleepless during the first night. And I have to leave all the lights on to make it looks like people are awake. I tried to use the hot bath but the room is locked all the time. Hotels.com is definitely responsible to manifest a 10 out 10 rating in this hotel, it’s simply not that good! Strongly won’t suggest ladies and kids to stay alone. ”

“A few days skiing at Mount Hutt as were the other folk staying. Amazing value for money. Quiet, close enough to the snow and town. We might come back with the wider family and stay in the big unit”

It surprised us how well the house is stocked and everything is in great condition and plenty of life!The house is toasty warm with the fireplace going! There is plenty of space, and upstairs is great fun for the kids! Having a dog friendly accommodation that has been well looked after is absolutely amazing! Above all - our host was super accommodating when we got stuck on the mountain for longer than anticipated!……

“This was an amazing place to stay!When we arrived, the place had all the lights on, and was so welcoming, and the beautiful fire was on, the lock box meant immediate entry, and the arrival was very welcoming!The home itself is a marvel- the architecture is so beautiful, and for our group of eight adults, (our family and their partners were staying to celebrate our youngest's 18th birthday), it was just perfect!Three levels, so much room to spread out, and warm and cosy, but very spacious! “Tekoa Lodge was perfect for our family ski trip. House is very warm with the woodburner going. Lots of space inside and out. Very short drive to the mountain. The private bush track down the river is also very cool. We would certainly stay again. Oh, and David is an excellent communicator. ”

“Lovely huge house nestled in the woods. Easy walking distance to Avalanche Peak and Devil's Punchbowl walking tracks. Be sure to use firewood from the woodshed, the outdoor wood is often wet.”
