We didn't use public transportation so don't know about it. A little far from the center of the city but great location from the Golden Gate Park and those areas, which we liked. The unit's private porch overlooks the cutest little canal - you're basically about 20' away - with ducks and turtles and a fountain, and the most beautiful trees that sway in the wind. When you lie in bed at the end of the day and the afternoon light filters through the branches outside the window and you hear all the birdsong, well, it is glorious. After a whole day in the hustle and bustle……
