“We stayed here for 4 nights and booked a luxury room. Our mistake for not reading the property details as there was no air-con and it was very uncomfortable during the nights without this as we ended up with quite warm weather which was a bonus for the days that we did stay. When we arrived and checked in we noticed that the door was not closing properly which was resolved straight away and dirty mugs had been left there too, again this was resolved straight away but no apology for this. “Moorlands was perfect for us as they don’t allow dogs. Beautiful location lovely sea views and very peaceful. Impeccably clean and the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. The hosts mark and desi were very friendly and accommodating and like old friends upon meeting them and we can’t wait to stay again as it’s perfect for exploring the coastal paths.”

“A great welcome, very friendly, lovely, comfy, spacious room. Mouth watering meals and great choice of drinks. Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. Still we had a wonderful stay.”

“Russel and Nicky made us feel very welcome and at home , the breakfast are amazing and worth a revisit alone ! The room was clean and tidy , the en-suite was spacious and the views from our windows over the river were great . We had bedroom 3 and the river runs directly outside and the sounds and views of the river are very relaxing . We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely quiet peaceful break with lovely walks right on your doorstep.. we will be back for sure ”

“We had an amazing 2 night stay in Lynton and couldn’t have picked a better guesthouse . Drew and Penny are fantastic hosts and clearly care about keeping guests happy , they have a great knowledge of the local area and nothing was too much trouble The house interior looks fantastic and is a credit to their hard work renovating the property . “We very much appreciated the unexpected upgrade to the Imperial Suite. Bathroom was fabulous with one of the best showers ever. The hotel is popular with the older generation, but was in a great location for us and the staff were excellent. Our only criticism was the lack of feather pillows and the hairdryer sounded like it was on its last legs!”
