“From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub.
We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped.
We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included.
We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer. ”
“The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. We happily stay here again. ”
“I was impressed with the lady who ran the hotel that night. She checked me in, instructed me where to park my car, advised where to get dinner because they didn't provide evening meals, served my drink in the bar, laid my table for my brought in take away dinner and then cleared up and still managed to do some cleaning. She made my evening very easy and pleasant. I couldn't ask for more. ”
“This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception.
There was a nice touch with tea making facilities and scones provided for the 4 days that I was there.

“Decent accommodation in a beautiful village on Exmoor. The bed was comfortable and the full English breakfast very good as well. I had no problem parking just outside on the street. I liked the feeling of staying in a family-run hotel and they were all friendly and helpful. Would return!”
