“Tucked just off the main road, Lil Blue is located just a less than 30 minute drive to the Bristol area and minutes away from Abingdon. We enjoyed the Bristol Caverns, Appalachian Caverns and Backyard Terror and Dinosaurs one day of our stay. Then as we drove home, various locations of The Virginia Creeper Trail. The house was stocked with plenty of essentials. The location is pretty quiet, inviting and relaxing; we enjoyed morning coffee on the back porch. The owners have a great personality,……

“Such a sweet little place with great access to the town! Since a good portion of the Virginia Creeper Trail is closed right now we used the house as a jumping off point to a day of hiking near Boone and another day of exploring Cherokee National Forest. The fenced in backyard was great for our dog. We ate out for all meals because there were so many great options and didn’t use the kitchen much but it looked to be well appointed. WiFi was strong and the TVs were great. ”

The location is gorgeous, the reflection pond is a lovely bonus space, and the house itself is luxurious and outfitted with beautiful, artistic items, and the space makes relaxation easy. The quality of everything in the house is extremely high, including all of the equipment in the kitchen, which made cooking there a complete joy. “This cabin is so lovely and perfectly situated to take advantage of what this area has to offer. Grayson Highlands State Park is about 20 min, and that is where we spent the most time during the day. Coming back to this picturesque home to watch the wildlife and soak in the hot tub was a big bonus.The AC was on the fritz during on visit but we chose to go anyway rather than reschedule. The owner purchased several fans and the evenings stayed cool. ”

“Perfect spot for a girl's weekend. We enjoyed both the creek out back and the covered porch out front. This tidy home is comfortable and well equipped. A Mama duck and her ducklings came from across the street and jumped in the creek behind the house which was a sweet sight. ”
