“This little cottage was perfect! It was super clean, had everything we needed, comfy beds, nice linens, fresh flowers and character. The owners put a lot of care into the decor and comforts inside the cottage. Everything worked fine and was as expected, if not better. Loved the two bathrooms off the bedrooms for our teens.The grounds need a ton of work that I'm sure is overwhelming for the owners. There is so much history hidden in that jungle! From mossy stone pathways to no where to overgrown……

“I well recommend this place 100%. Clean, complete with pretty much everything you need including washer and dryer like staying in your own house. nice location, close to restaurant and of course the ocean on your backyard couldn’t ask for more.We enjoyed our stay. Definitely we’ll rent this house again.Thank you!”

“It's obvious Sue and Chad put time and effort in making the house and grounds beautiful. The house was equipped with everything we needed to cook, and just relax and enjoy the surroundings. All you hear are the birds and crashing waves, no road sounds. I spent every possible minute outside. It was also a treat to visit with Sue, she knows a wealth of information on the area and is just plain fun! With any luck, we'll be back again!”

“This beautifully decorated hale was clean & well-stocked. I loved the decor & the screened lanai. I enjoyed living like a local. Hilo was an easy drive even at night. “8 of us stayed at this wonderful property (5 adults and 3 kids under 10). It was just perfect. The house is extremely comfortable and everyone had their own space. We loved the location as for us we wanted to explore Volcano National Park and much of the east side of the island. We did go to Kona for a day which was easily accessible as well. Hilo is awesome and so is this house!”

“Geat location out of town and within easy reach of the whole island. Location was perfect for our needs, property was recently renovated and very tidy, close to shopping and the local tavern for meals and entertainment.”

“It felt more like a private cottage rather than a home addition. Peaceful, fallen to sleep every night to the natural sounds of the island. Entire place was modern and updated. Kitchen was a joy to cook in and the bathroom felt like a spa. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. ”

“This is not the place for everyone, but an excellent place if you read what the host describes. ”

“The property is quiet and the house is spacious, very clean, comfortable an has all the basics you need and the host is hospitable. Our issues were with the inaccuracy of the listing and limited response from host when we asked for clarity and pictures of the bedrooms. Although the house is spacious, it is not 4 rooms. It’s 2 rooms with 1 loft and an observatory area that the average person would find very difficult, nearly impossible, to access and use as a bedroom. The “stairs” to the……

“Lovely place to stay. Had everything we needed.”

“Clean and quiet little stay. I only wish with it being off grid that there was an actual good size grille and a few basics (salt, pepper, coffee). Being off grid, we brought groceries to cook there however cooking was a little bit a nightmare. Other than that. Great stay! ”

“The property was just as described. It's located just the right distance from Volcano Park. This was probably the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in.”
