“It’s hard to comment properly as we arrived late in the dark but even still the staff on the desk were so friendly greeting us, and super helpful and understanding when I realised I’d made a mistake with the booking. It’s lovely and quiet despite being so close to the motorway. Immediately put at ease and reassured that it’s a great place to stay, even if as it is for us just an overnight stopover mid journey. ”

“This proved to be one of the superior B&Bs we have ever used. Apart from the comfort and cleanliness we discovered two small brownies and two KitKats on the tea tray. “Absolutely gorgeous stay at Rum Doodle. Staff couldn’t have been nicer, felt welcomed from the moment they met us at the door. The room was decorated beautifully, exactly what we needed for a few days away. All sorts of amenities and extras - the breakfast options were vast and really tasty. The only thing worth mentioning is parking is up a very tight small hill and when there is a lot of cars in it does get a little difficult. Nothing that would stop us from making a return though. “A pleasant hotel but not really "luxury" as they claim. No air conditioning, just a small, noisy desk fan. Probably not an issue most of the year, to be fair, as it was unseasonably hot this week. Double bed with a poor mattress that transferred all movement of one partner to the other. Tap in the wash basin too close to the basin; I've seen this repeatedly in hotel rooms and, to be fair, some home, and I'll never understand how the proprietors and their plumber can't figure out what size……
