“From arrival to departure Jonathan, Melissa and Magnus (The Dog) were the most wonderful hosts. We stayed in the Fat Badger Hut which was absolutely stunning, the bed was the cosiest thing ever and the room was well decorated. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The little things including the beautifully lit garden with fairy lights and water features plus our hosts hospitality was unquestionably outstanding. This was a truly perfect staycation. We will definitely be going back. ”

“We stayed in Haven Hall and had such a great experience there! The owner David came to greet us and showed us around his property which they renovated for 4 years prior to opening as a boutique hotel. The hotel has beautiful decor inside and a spectacular waterfront. We were asked in the evening what we wish for a breakfast on the next day and they made it exactly the way we requested. We wish we spend more days on the island and definitely would recommend this hotel for everyone who is visiting……

“really pleased, very comfortable and staff were great. Food was very nice (especially the breakfast). Only slight issue is the room was quite cold but did eventually warm up with the air con unit. There was a note saying new windows are being put in though and it was -2 outside”

“Had a really nice time here... the property is wonderful.. newly refurbished it seemed to a high standard (my wife was impressed with the Elemis products !) . Spotlessly clean. Service was good, and the lounge area, conservatory and garden all add to the extra space.Service was friendly and efficient and a good breakfast. Location quiet and very near the sea. “OMG what a gem! I almost don’t want to share an opinion on the Villa Rothsay because I want to keep it for myself. Absolutely perfect in every way. But quirky and mysterious with amazing history. Our room was beautiful with seaview. We slept with the curtains open so as not to miss any waking moment. Margaret was welcoming and so knowledgeable. Breakfast was delicious. Local produce - no UPFs here - Villa Rothsay preserves. Just beautiful. We were fortunate to have been there for the first day……

“Everything was smooth, and service above and beyond. I did not personally love the layout of the rooms especially in terms of plugs, as these could be difficult to find (even behind someone's head on the bed headboard), however this is a very tiny thing and generally speaking everything went well and was easy. Breakfast was delicious and service attentive. Thank you”
