“My sister and I had a lovely stay here. Loads of parking and a lovely gentleman who worked there helped us find our room. He was really helpful, recommended good places to eat and answered any questions we had. The room was clean and comfortable with beautiful gardens outside. “We stayed here for one night while visiting Alton Towers, and it was ideal. The room was very clean, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant, which was delicious—just what we needed after a long day. They also offer a kids’ menu, which was a great touch. Breakfast was just as enjoyable, with a well-organised buffet offering plenty of options. There’s also the option to upgrade to a hot breakfast at a very reasonable price. The room had everything……

“Owners and staff were welcoming and the room was spacious, full facilities, warm. Approx 9 miles from Buxton, a rural but convenient for access. Adjacent to a main road, but no disturbances for sleep with the rooms to the rear of the pub. Enjoyed the well presented food. Lovely fish & chips. Slight issue over lasagne, quickly remedied/replaced. Excellent cooked breakfast. Good quality ingredients. Very good value, would recommend and probably return if in area again.”

“Very good rooms with excellent beds and bedding. The dining menu was limited and quality of food was not as good as one would expect. The car park is across the road which is not ideal”

“Convenient, competitive and had all I needed. Staff were lovely and friendly. Would like water in vending machine (unless I missed a free option) and a pump in roof was going off every 30 seconds all the time, which was annoying but still slept well. ”
