“Warm, friendly welcome by the owner. As it turned out, we were the only visitors staying in the hotel, so had a nice opportunity for a chat over a beer - well stocked with what appeared to be the full range of bottled beers from Purple Moose Brewery of Porthmadog. “It’s a nice place for a pit stop. Only one brew permitted with your breakfast, even though it arrives 20 mins before your breakfast arrives. The EV charger is temperamental, make sure the staff have activated it after you have plugged in and paid. Other than that, all good.”

“We had a nice stay at this hotel; friendly staff, nice food, good sized bedroom and lovely views. We had a standard turret bedroom and whilst it was spacious, the en suite was really small and felt like a shower had been squeezed into a room that used to be a toilet room. There was no space to swing an earwig let alone a cat! The toilet had a cigarette burn on it and the lid on the plastic cistern didn’t fit on the tank. “The hotel was lovely; the rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing. The common rooms were very nice and welcoming. The staff was professional, gracious and friendly. We spent a lovely cocktail hour in the lounge and enjoyed delicious custom cocktails. Dinner and breakfast were first rate! Local foods, creatively prepared. We went for an afternoon hike along the canal, which was easy to access from the property. Highly recommend this property.”
