“Come and go nice and quiet ”

“It was in a lovely location, must be stunning in the summer. Breakfast was amazing! Allowed two dogs which was great. Only negative is our room was above the bar and Friday night was very noisy until the early hours, and no hairdryer in room. ”

“A party of 9, venue didn't have a clue that 3 of us had booked. My room incredibly noisy with motorised heat pump on outside wall 24/7, used soap with pubic-hairs in the shower and mouldy grouting. Food was very expensive for tiny portions and the kitchen couldn't cope with 12 diners on a Sat, so was served cold. Staff member spotted cleaning teeth in the food prep sink. AVOID”

“This is an old building and part of the charm of the village. A lovely breakfast and welcome. The room was spacious and warm. The hotel does need refurbishment and some decoration but it is central and close to the shops and restaurants ”

“From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub. We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped. We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included. We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer. ”

Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. Still we had a wonderful stay.”
