“OMGosh this is the prettiest hotel. Right on the Douro River. Every nook is a surprise. All the rooms are slightly different so choose wisely and be specific. We had a wonderful dinner in the the restaurant. All the food was very good, just be aware if you have food restrictions etc. as "no dairy/milk" seems to be get confused. Just ask to speak to someone who knows as they actually pride themselves on being able to accomodate Gluten and Dairy free . Having said this, the breakfast is……

Attentive and friendly waitstaff at dinner (suggested wines to pair with each course) and breakfasts. Hiked up the hill to even better views on their vineyard roads, drove to Pinhão for the 2-hr boat cruise to Tua, a Miradouro and wine tasting above Pinhão, also close to Sandeman’s Quinta do Seixo for old tawny tasting and to Quinta do Tedo for Bistro Terrace dinner.”
