“The hotel is located at a pretty touristy area. Right outside has a good number of tuktuks touting their services. The restaurants along the river are pricier than usual. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, but there was no body lotion available in the room that most other luxurious hotels offer. Location of the hotel was still convenient and accessible ”

“Hard to beat the views from this historic hotel. Perched on top the mountain overlooking the city of Viana do Castelo and the river below is breathtaking. Staff very helpful and professional. Rooms a bit dated but clean and comfortable. You may need to get creative to charge electronic devices as outlets are scarce. Nice breakfast with wide variety offered. Transport to town on the funicular is available during the day, ample parking at the hotel. ”
