“Park Dedeman is a great hotel to stay for business and vacation. Location is not exactly the best, but very affordable price to stay balances all that. I reserved two rooms, but one had problems with electricity. One of the female staff (It pains me that I forgot her name... I should've written it down somewhere) assisted us to switch rooms without zero hassle and friction. There's also a spa and gym you can use. Just a few steps outside, there is a mall, cafes and a few restaurant chains you……

“The room is standard, but the service is good. Excellent breakfast also.”

“The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!……

“This property should not even be listed in Expedia. They never wrote back to me to check the time of arrival for their "Airport Pickup" service which is included in their price. However, upon confrontation at front desk, there is no shuttle bus service that they are aware of. I rode a taxi from the airport with my own money which I explained to; they made no effort to apologize or engage in English, and simple screamed at me in Russian. The following morning a different staff very reluctantly……
