“The hotel was beautiful and full of historic charm. The on-site Wild Fern restaurant had delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. My only "negative" was that both Apple Maps and Google maps struggled to map directions to the property--they both routed us through the hospital drive which is closed to through traffic. Not the hotel's fault, just a heads up to other travelers.”

“Excellent location very close to the city as well as main attractions like Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch. Our host was extremely gracious and went out of his way to let us in after hours late at night after our flight was delayed and to answer our questions. The on site parking is very handy for our rental car and the complimentary breakfast is delicious. Would highly recommend this spot for 1-3 travelers looking to see the area! ”

“On arrival in Cape Town after a long road trip from Port Elizabeth, we were greeted with a rather unfriendly comment about not being rugby fans as we arrived during the last five minutes of a rugby game. Our booking stated that our reservation was 'bed and breakfast'. During the course of the first morning, after we already had breakfast, the owner came to our room stating that our reservation did not include breakfast upon which we referred her to our booking confirmation.
