“Very clean, with spacious, comfortable rooms. Near the waterfront, major bus lines, and dining options. We had a large group (12) who all stayed here for 3 nights, and we had an excellent stay.”
“Fresh & funky art-deco newness. Well appointed self-catered rooms that feels all new. However surprisingly the bed was creaky and sloppily springy so not the greatest of comfort there. Multiple construction across the roads in the area so if your'e a late sleeper this can be a rather big problem. Noise starts fairly early.”
“Lovely hotel with fabulous artwork everywhere. Personalized service 24/7. The staff was friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to add special touches. Turndown service was especially impressive. Good location: ubers from Derwent to most attractions were under $6 per trip. Highly recommend!”
“Excellent all around breakfast was great. We even got upgraded to a 2 bedroom. Staff was wonderful! My only complaint is the mattress on the bed was too firm for my liking.”
“I loved everything about Four Rosemead. The best thing about it were the people who looked after me and were beyond helpful before I arrived arranging my airport pick up, waiting for me when my baggage got lost and taking me back to the airport to collect it. I felt totally looked after. Thank you Jade and Four Rosemead!”
“I booked Ashby Manor House in early March for a short trip to attend a wedding with my partner. Liesl reached out when I made our reservation, offering a ride from the airport and suggestions for tourist excursions. We arranged a car through her to and from the airport, and I strongly recommend it. Our stay in Cape Town was brief, but whenever I needed anything, help came immediately. The room was also very clean and comfortable. The location is safe and close to dining options, some of which……
“Loved staying at this hostel. Very centrally located and the staff (Doniel , Brownyn and Arthur) were terrific and very helpful. Would definitely stay here during my next visit to Cape Town.”
“Boutique hotel in one of oldest houses in central Cape Town.Location excellent for walking to all major sites in area.Staff went out of their way to help.”
"AVOID AT ALL COST; The room is generally clean and spacious and well equipped, however the lack of table is rather inconvenient, and it is very noisy with street traffic and pedestrians even on weekday nights, and seagulls are super noisy during dawn. Also weird that the upper part of the toilet window cannot be closed.
I was "fortunate" enough to be in town and staying at this hotel while load shedding (i.e. adhoc power outage) happened and the staff didn't bother to inform this to myself obviously as a first-time foreign visitor. The power cut off during midnight on the first night. At first I thought unlike all other hotels, this hotel isn't equipped with backup generator. To my revelation later, they do have backup generator but only used during daytime outage to protect the bistros downstairs. During night time they just don't use it and don't care the overnight stayers at all. Never stay here, my real words."
