Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read. “Everything about this ‘stately home’ hotel states luxury and first class service, from the amazing, unique approach road through a rock bridge, to the extensive landscaped grounds which are a delight to explore and are up to national arboretum standards. “I don't know what to say other than I have sent my review to YHA with "top marks" for everything. From the friendly welcome received on check-in to the cleanliness of the room allocated, everything was absolutely perfect for the overnight stay. I slept very well & enjoyed the morning coffee in the café downstairs. It was all spot-on and excellent value for money. I will recommend to friends and I would like to book to stay there again. ”
