“The hotel itself is undergoing renovation but this didn't affect us. Our room had obviously been recently refurbished and couldn't be faulted. We only had a couple of minor observations - check is was extremely busy at 3pm and although breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of choice the plates were cold so the cooked food went cold very quickly - didn't use leisure facilities but they looked very nice. ”

“The staff at the front desk is excellent. Very friendly during the check-in. She always smiles and tells me the location of the room. Feel happy to receive a Christmas card from the staff. The cups and the electric kettle are clean. I feel safe when using them. Wifi connection is good and stable. There are three electrical sockets in front of the desk. I can charge my phone and laptop at the same time. However, there is still room for improvement. The room is not clean. There was rubbish……

“Beautiful old hotel in superb grounds. My 3rd visit. It’s dog friendly which is essential for me. Staff very friendly especially Angela who made such a fuss of our boy. Its excellent position means a great spot for beautiful dog walks, literally across the road. However I must comment on the room. It was absolutely boiling hot in there, totally unacceptable and uncomfortable, we were given a fan which helped a bit. One of the lights on the wall wasn’t working which made the room very dark.
