“A lovely stay. A nice pub, with plenty of outside seating, and nice atmosphere inside. Good selection of drinks. A separate dining area made the evening meal feel more like eating in a restaurant Vs a pub. The food and service was very good. Dishes or the day and the specials added to an already sufficient menu. Breakfast was also very tasty. We stayed in room #1. It was much larger than expected, and with a sofa. It was clean and comfortable. There is good sized car park at the rear of the……

“So pleased with our three night break away with our dog. Very welcoming and everyone was very friendly and excellent service provided. We had a dog friendly room which was on the ground floor and gave us easy access to the large beautiful garden. Fan provided to help with heat. Clean rooms with lots of light and shutters for privacy. Food excellent.”

“Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms”

“St Marys Gate Inn looked extremely comfortable, clean and welcoming in the photo's online. Believe me when I say, it is much much more when you arrive. Welcomed by Lola on arrival (we were much earlier than expected) we were shown a table for Sunday lunch straight away (Food is excellent both flavours and presentation). The room was exceptional, huge main area, immaculate bathroom, tea and separate coffee facilities in the room, two huge windows. Bed was very comfortable, just a very relaxing……
