“This hotel is well located close to bus & rail stations and only a couple of hundred yards from the promenade and the pretty Victoria Park. As with the majority of property in the area this is an older style premises with the typical drawbacks like steep staircases. On the positive side though the owners have introduced modern adaptations like proximity lighting on the stairs, wall mounted TVs in the rooms and electric charging point on the forecourt. “The only issue is the facility to dry my hear whilst looking in a mirror.
It was very difficult with the hair dryer cable being at full stretch as the mirror is half way down the corridor almost opposite the bathroom door & the nearest plug point is by the tea & coffee point ”
“Nice big family bedroom, bottles of water in the mini fridge. Keith the owner was nice. Breakfast was lovely, order what you want the night before. Downside the stairs were very steep and was on the top floor.”
“We had a 3 night stay, along with other family members staying 2 nights. The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the sea front and amenities in Paignton. Our room was so comfortable and homely, absolutely spotlessly clean. The welcome from the hosts was so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay and the communication was good from booking to leaving. “Fab location with views to die for! Old building a little dated in places but very clean and mostly well maintained. The staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming especially Katie on reception who helped when I went to report my TV was not working. “We booked last minute without really doing any research but we got a lovely room with a bath/shower. The staff were all very welcoming, down to earth and friendly. Ideally located. Bed was very comfortable and the room cleaned to a high standard. Although there was shower gel/soap there was no shampoo & conditioner. ”
