“The place was nice and clean. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was not great. The eggs seemed to be from powered eggs. The oats were not cooked. They do not offer ice or water in the breakfast area. These are all minor but I am honest in my reviews. Our room was clean. We had requested a premium king room with a couch. The couch has no arm/sides. It was not a comfortable place to relax. We were only there one night passing through but if we had intended several nights and expecting……

“Clearly a labor of love for its creator. A century(?) old building turned into a boutique hotel, coffee shop, work space and meeting place. It a hidden gem that I would recommend to anyone visiting Springfield. Support the little guys and small businesses like this as well as the other businesses on Commercial St. In Springfield!”

“It is a beautiful mansion, full of history. Myra and Samantha were so friendly, attentive and kind. The walk around the small lake was refreshing and there were many fuzzy little goslings walking around. AC was great and the water pressure in the bathroom was very good. We were in The Chapel room. Very spacious. My only semi complaint was the bed was too firm for me, but I slept well. The only noises I heard were the birds chirping outside our window every morning. I would stay there again!”

“The hotel is beautiful and our room was well appointed. The staff was super friendly and responded quickly to a thermostat issue we had in our room. Our room was a V2 suite in the 2nd building. My only recommendation is that they add a covered walkway between the 2 buildings to protect from weather. ”
