“We stayed in Haven Hall and had such a great experience there! The owner David came to greet us and showed us around his property which they renovated for 4 years prior to opening as a boutique hotel. The hotel has beautiful decor inside and a spectacular waterfront. We were asked in the evening what we wish for a breakfast on the next day and they made it exactly the way we requested. We wish we spend more days on the island and definitely would recommend this hotel for everyone who is visiting……

“Such a lovely Inn with fantastic grounds and views across the Bay We stayed in room 10 and it was a large and comfortable room The breakfasts were amazing and set us up nicely for the days travelling Staff were very friendly and looked after us well Only thing to note is that it's a busy pub that has music (Inc some live), it's very family oriented so no drama their but the rooms are situated above the bar/restaurant so of course you can hear the noise from the room It never stopped us……

“Just an absolutely wonderful old and historic hotel. The location was perfect for exploring the harbour and the Naval museums. Our host was a minefield of interesting and useful information, and couldn’t have been friendlier. We were there for 4 nights and it was a truly great stay. ”

“The staff were helpful and accommodating and the breakfast was really good, especially for my wife who has dietary challenges. The only downside for us was the tight and twisty stairs to the 2nd floor room when carrying luggage, but then we are in our 70's. Would stay again.”

“The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes”

“Absolutely stunning hotel. Fabulous luxurious rooms that are just stunning , recently refurbished to a high standard . Rooms and hotel interiors immaculate. Rooms came with little extras such as chocolates, biscuits, beech towels as hotel around 20feet to beech . Stunning location my daughter also had room with patio doors leading to private terrace overlooking beech !! Can not praise the staff enough , everyone was warm and extreamly helpful , always gracious went out of there way to ensure i……
