“The hotel was basic and without fridge. Easy access to city centre and bus routes. Easy access to train station. The only problem with hotel was the noise made by toilet and this is all toliets so next door rooms cause a lot of noise and can wake guest in night.”

“The location is very central. Free laundry is excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside is that the car park is across the street, so no cover while checking in and out. Restaurant food was high quality and breakfast outstanding. The chef catered for dietary restrictions in a friendly way. ”

“I had read the reviews so did know what to expect. The hotel was very tired and worn. Bedroom smelled very strongly of bleach when I opened the door so knew it had been cleaned. Bedding and towels fresh, white and spotless. I know why the comments about staff varied from unfriendly to smiley as it varied on which staff were on duty! There was no food at all but the Dudley Arms around the corner did daily breakfast and carvery meals so that was extremely handy. ”

“Fabulous for a brief overnight stay to break our long journey from the South West to the North East. The facilities looked fantastic but sadly didn’t get chance to make full use of these as it was a flying visit for us. Will definitely stay again and hopefully get chance to enjoy the dining and spa experience next time. Good convenient access from M42, the grounds around the hotel were very pretty, the room was spacious and comfortable. Easy parking, pleasant, helpful staff. Everything was……
