“We were looking for an overnight stay near London outside the M25 to make an easy start driving to Wales. This was excellent value with a good large breakfast included. Interesting old buildings, friendly staff, easy parking. Right on the edge of Cookham which is a beautiful village on the Thames. Plenty of places to eat even on a Sunday evening. I can definitely recommend this rather than the better known towns which are too busy and expensive.”

“Wonderful property and place to stay!! Right along the river. Our room had a balcony that you could sit on and watch/listen to the birds. The people who work there were so kind and helpful. We would recommend this place to anyone not wanting to stay in London but looking for a more country side stay. Maidenhead was terrific and the food fantastic. Would stay again!!”

“This is how hotels should be. It was absolutely esquisite. The finishings on the building was amazing and consistent throughout and was echoed by the quality at every angle, from the welcome, to food, to service, you name it. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere and a lovely place to be. We stayed during a very quiet period out of holidaty season and were still made to feel very welcome, were always asked how we were, and were very aware that any member of staff would go above and beyond to help……

“We had a friendly welcome from Jane and her staff. The room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The pub closed early on Sunday night, so we had to go elsewhere for food, but it meant a very peaceful night. Strongly recommended!”

“This property was spacious, tastefully decorated, and clean. We loved our stay. It is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, Windsor Castle, and the train station. We were able to leave our bags in a locked closet until our room was ready. I felt very safe here. The girl on call when you check in was absolutely delightful. So sweet and friendly. One of my favorite people I met during my travels in the UK. I wish I'd gotten her name. She is a true gem. I will definitely stay here again.”
