“Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms”

“Beautiful spot ”

“We stayed here in the Tudor 4 poster room. While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. It was a great place to stay after a 5,000 mile trip from the Western US and recover from jet lag before going on to meet friends and family elsewhere in the UK. (It’s about a hour from Heathrow). “So pleased with our three night break away with our dog. Very welcoming and everyone was very friendly and excellent service provided. We had a dog friendly room which was on the ground floor and gave us easy access to the large beautiful garden. Fan provided to help with heat. Clean rooms with lots of light and shutters for privacy. Food excellent.”

“Stayed just for one night before an early flight. I was very impressed. Nice, clean room, friendly staff, easy drive to Gatwick. Only gave a 3 star for staff as the barman was obviously very new and hadn’t yet been taught all he needed to know. I would recommend.”
