“The hotel is in a very picturesque setting in rural Chenies. We had a spacious, spotless room and a large ensuite bathroom with shower. Everything was in good condition and the sheets and towels were of excellent quality. Having a fridge was also very useful. The evening meal was tasty, though the choices were limited, as there had been problems with deliveries. The full English breakfast the next morning was plentiful and delicious. “Property is within a private road, with very limited access to visitors. There are a couple of visitors' parking spaces, but those were occupied when I arrived, so I had to park in the nearby public car park. This was free after 6pm, but I had to leave before 9am the next morning to avoid being charged for parking. Other than that, my stay was fine - room was clean and comfortable, and shared bathroom was not an issue, as I think I was the only guest that night.”

“Never been to Watford (from US) but took a chance. Turned out to be an amazing place. Cool old UK pub and above, modern chic rooms. Ann Maria was the bartender and hotel host and she was outstanding and a hoot. She treated us like family from the moment she met us. Sean the manager treated us the exact same way. Brought my daughter, son and son in law to the pub and they loved it as well. Walking distance to Watford Junction station and a great little coffee spot called Viento just around the……

“The best Holiday Inn I've experienced. With well-furnished rooms, kept clean and in working order. Good gym setup, with a great sauna and steam room. The only downside was the frankly ridiculous price for parking on top of the price of the room.”

“Staff were very good, we arrived quite late at night because of the train mishap. It was raining and cold, we were made welcome and shown to rooms until we were happy with the choice!, room was warm clean and tidy. Breakfast was great lunch was delicious. A wonderful memorable stay will go again definitely!”
