“Mill Lodge is located in a quiet side street with pubs and food shopping nearby. Our compact accommodation was very clean, cosy, comfortable and had all we needed, with a generous supply of teas, coffee and Welsh cakes in the room. At breakfast, there was a wide choice of quality ingredients to choose from, carefully prepared and presented in impeccable style. A nice touch was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. ”

“This is a lovely hotel in a rural setting but relatively close (around 10min) to the M4. Driving up the narrow lane to the hotel set the mood for me, quiet and tranquil. The staff throughout the stay were friendly and accomodating. This was a business trip and we hosted a business dinner at the restaurant. The service was very good as was the food. Again the entire approach was very relaxed which allowed for a great evening. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Even though……

“Very clean and well equipped. Check in information good. Getting information on how to check out at 1:55 in the morning was less than helpful as it woke us up. We have to leave some alerts on as husband receives medical alerts overnight. It may not be a problem for those who can switch a do not disturb on. Also had to message to request an internet password for the medical monitoring. Owner was very helpful and provided it straight away but it would be helpful to have it available if internet is……

“Lovely house in a nice location. A river at the back wirh a field of sheep to overlook. It is in a small and very quiet estate. We did not hear anyone. All we could hear was the river. The house is all you need for a stay, clean, well equipped, good communucation. Parking at the front. There were 5 of us , 2 adults and 3 children, 13, 10 & 7. We were more then comfortable with pleanty of space. Good cooking facilities and pleanty of storage space ”

“Overall it was a nice hotel and nice resort. The room was large and very clean. Our only issue was we were on the ground floor even though we were not part of the events. Due to being a popular wedding venue there was a wedding each day. The corridors were loud until 3-4am each day. We struggled to sleep most evenings. We recommend, if you are going to stay request for a room away from wedding guests. ”

“Lovely hotel, comfy room and good food! Nice garden for the dog also. My only comment is that we were unable to tip the restaurant staff on the card machine as tips are cash only. Very few people carry cash these days and tips can make up a reasonable component of service staffs pay. I implore management to change this. ”

“Love that this Vineyard Hotel is dog friendly. Our room was massive, great terrace which was safe for the dog. It was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed sitting out with the vines in view as we chilled and chatted over a few glasses of wine.”

“Lovely short stay at this hotel room facilities good very comfortable bed neath botanical gardens are lovely food was very good at the hotel not overpriced staff very friendly nothing to mutch trouble for them I would recommend the castle hotel to anyone ”

“Good location for us. Very comfortable brilliant shower. The night storage heating kept me up until I realised the noise was coming from there then turned it off. ( not needed room was very hot) would definitely stay again ”
