“A beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very good standard of food. The classic room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Perfect for a relaxing break once you have negotiated the 1.5 mile single track road to the hotel!”

“Tucked away, this farmhouse is just superb! Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfy and the shower was the most powerful I’ve ever enjoyed! Kirsty and Neil are good hosts, ready to offer recommendations if asked, but will leave you to yourselves if you prefer. They keep pigs and chickens, which we were lucky enough to feed, and I can report that the sausages, bacon & eggs at breakfast were very tasty! Added bonus of homemade cakes left out, delicious! Thanks Kirsty & Neil”

“Arrived just before check room was ready Staff did have to juggle between bar/ reception and serving meals so a little slow at times. Hubby was a bit disappointed with his lamb as had watched other people in the day getting bigger portions but tasted lovely.Anna was so helpful and Millie only saw her 1 evening but really helpful. Our dog was even given a sausage for breakfast lovely touch. The ladies cleaning the rooms were lovely. ”

“If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. “Excellent hospitality, comfort and luxury. All the staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The rooms had everything you needed, and the beds were very comfortable.
