“Russel and Nicky made us feel very welcome and at home , the breakfast are amazing and worth a revisit alone ! The room was clean and tidy , the en-suite was spacious and the views from our windows over the river were great . We had bedroom 3 and the river runs directly outside and the sounds and views of the river are very relaxing . We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely quiet peaceful break with lovely walks right on your doorstep.. we will be back for sure ”

“The Rockford is a real gem. So welcoming, quaint and in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble, the room we had was really comfortable and clean. Breakfast, which was included in the price of our room was just delicious. We want to visit again! Thank you for a lovely stay!!”

“This is a really nice old fashioned pub style accomodation but has a really good chef and therefore very good food. Slightly above the average price but well worth it. However there are other local options for dining. The room overlooked the bay and you could see surfers in the distance along with the small harbour. The famous Lynton to Lynmouth railway is just round the corner and well worth a trip for the spectacular views. Will definitely go back at some point.”
