“Lovely hotel for our 1 night stay. Friendly welcoming staff made it special. Great breakfast, lots of options including my favourite avocado on sourdough. Yes a little noisy at night due to being located on a busy street, but lovely room with an unexpected 4 poster bed and free standing bath. Perfect base for exploring the area. We walked 2 miles to West Bay and drove to Lyme Regis. Would have liked to enjoy a drink in the courtyard garden under the wisteria as it looked beautiful but time was……

“We spent 9 days touring England by car and train. Overall the Frampton Inn and Pub was the best overall place we stayed and ate/drank at. It has an excellent restaurant and Pub. The best price for an Ale. The room was modern and even had AC if needed. All the staff were very nice and hard working. We will return someday.”

“Enjoyed the Royal Lion especially the location and free parking. We were allowed to park before check in time and after check out time which was particularly valuable for central Lyme Regis. The location in the heart of the town was ideal, we didn’t need the car at all during our stay. The hotel was very clean and freshly painted, but furniture and fittings a little dated. Our room sloped a bit, but all part of the charm of a period hotel. Reception efficient but not overly welcoming, which one……

“If you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only £10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it.”
