“Close to Cathedral. Quaint interesting pub with outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Good food. Lovely room with fridge, Dyson fan, iron and ironing board. Nice bathroom. Great shower and lovely tub, and lots of products. Special thanks to staff for being so helpful. Listed building so no lift. ”

After spending almost another hour parking at backdoor car park with proper payment of parking fees, you then receive a 100 pound parking ticket erroneously in the middle of night one week later !! ”

“Lovely people at reception and bar areas. Warm welcome etc. Room was well equipped and clean. Bed was very comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was very good, although a bit limited on fruit and yogurts etc. Would definitely stay again even though I did not visit the zoo, which was not a noisy place to stay!”

“Set in a lovely situation, away from all the hustle & bustle! The woodland walk on property that we asked about was actually no longer accessible, but just walking along the long driveway provided nice views of the countryside and flower-farm in the distance! We made use of the bar menu for our evening meal, and the breakfast buffet was good. The spa (Sunday daytime) was very quiet which was perfect. The staff were really nice and friendly. “Dated but very comfortable. Only minor complaint/observation was that there were no USB connections in the room and reception had no adaptors. In this day and age the double outlet in the room could be upgraded to include USB at minima;l cost,”
