“Really lovely apartment just outside the city walls. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable and with everything you need for a great stay. Little extras including, sourdough bread, butter, preserves, milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, cereals, chocolate , wine and a treat from Betty's all made it feel really special and that you are very welcome. Communication before arrival was great, as was check in when we were helped with our bags down the steps and shown around. Anita (our host) was on holiday……

“This lovely house met all the needs of a group of 5. Great location within easy reach of the station and the city walls. Little supermarket within a short walk. Great mattreses and plenty of comforts within the house. Nice courtyard outdoor area, including a small covered area. The only downside was a little bit of traffic noise at the front of the house because the windows were open (it was over a hot weekend). Otherwise a very comfortable stay. I would recommend this accommodation for anyone……

“Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. ”
