“The room was very nice. A couple of small things: 1- It would have been nice to know there was a flight of narrow stairs to get to room, 2- Bathroom sink is blocked by overhanging cabinets, toothbrushing very difficult, 3- bathroom door drifts open against the bed unless closed and then the bathroom is very hot. ”

“If you are not good at climbing stairs, or if you are carrying 2 or 3 suitcase with you, never book a room at 1st floor . My experience is that, after I have brought the suitcase up the narrow and winding staircase, I need to take a two-hour rest before I can have the courage to think about going out. Other than that, the hotel is comfortable.”

“This was a very cute bed and breakfast and the host was beyond helpful. I really can't say enough good things about him! We unfortunately were not able to have breakfast as they don't start serving until 9 and we needed to be on our way for the day by 9 :) The room was clean, although the bathroom could have been cleaner. Speaking of the bathroom, the shower was tiny. The shower in a travel trailer is bigger. If you are a larger individual, or if ladies want to shave their legs, not a……

“Cannot rate the staff, this is a self service hotel, but it’s really easy, you’ll get a couple of codes the day of your stay. The hotel is right in the heart of the shambles, as a tourist that’s exactly the area where you want to be. The hotel is like nothing that you ever have experienced before, I can guarantee it. Without spoiling your experience I will tell you that my hard-to-please teenager was flabbergasted with the experience, he said it’s in his top 5 hotels in the world. ”

“What a perfect place to stay in York. A very easy stroll into York City. Everything you could want in a stay. Breakfast was very generous. And laundry dervice provided on request.”

The hotel was an easy walk to the York city wall and the train station. The room was lovely. Do book the delicious breakfast. It is plentiful and will get you ready for a day of exploring!”

“This was my first stay at SixteenB. I was away with my friend for her birthday and this was near to the activities we were doing. I booked the smaller room. I did try to upgrade to the larger room but was not able to do so. However Olga did try to do it for me. I loved the smaller room though. It isn’t as small as some other reviews are indicating. “Fantastic couple of nights here, check in was easy, parking either straight out front or on the street around the corner. Bus stop just outside with an easy trip into town so we could have a drink with dinner and not worry about driving. Can touch on to the bus with a credit card. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order by the hosts and was excellent quality! Would stay again.”
