“If you are not good at climbing stairs, or if you are carrying 2 or 3 suitcase with you, never book a room at 1st floor . My experience is that, after I have brought the suitcase up the narrow and winding staircase, I need to take a two-hour rest before I can have the courage to think about going out. “到达时是傍晚，很喜欢洒满夕阳的房间。虽然是在路边，但是街道不算吵。典型的英式早餐做的很地道。位于约克城区外围，因为本来就不大，所以并不觉得偏远。屋主是位很nice的老太太，很感谢她向我们推荐旅游线路。”

“A nightmare experience lived in this hotel, this hotel need to contact the staff after 4 pm check-in, you can only contact a phone number, we did not have a phone number in the UK, so we need to find someone on the street to contact the staff, finally we could contact the staff, with a very bad attitude with impolite words spoke to us, never book this hotel especially for foreigners!”

“Great 2 night stay, slight issue with Expedia which Tony sorted out for us swiftly, great service and a fantastic room, luxurious pillows and bedding/mattress so slept so well and didn’t hear any outside noise. The room has loads of technology if you want to use it. The aircon was a great extra and was lovely and quiet.The breakfast was really good, loads of choice and quality food. “The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived. She helped us with a dinner reservation and advised us on some things to do in York. The hotel was an easy walk to the York city wall and the train station. The room was lovely. Do book the delicious breakfast. It is plentiful and will get you ready for a day of exploring!”

“Nice accommodation in York in residential area, far from train station but nice walking along the old city walls. Hotel check in via phone but everything in easy mode. Room is nice and tidy, comfortable beds and room conditions except the shower facilities, some minor issues on the shower head holder but not affecting our stay. It is recommended if you don’t mind walking about 20mins from station. ”

“Great location, right in the City Centre. A small but very different room giving the feeling you have travelled back in time, but with a little modern comforts. Heating and fridge!! Expensive, but then so is all accommodation in York. Quirky, bit pleased we have ticked this one off our list of places to stay. Probably not suited to an extended stay, one or two nights only. But an experience. 👍”

“The provided facilities, in terms of the fridge shack etc could do with updating and the site is a lot smaller than anticipated so we were greatful of only one other pod being occupied. Had there have been others there, there wouldn’t have been much privacy at all. Coat hooks being on the same wall as the plugs/shelf etc meant coats hanging over the kettle , but the pod itself was lovely and clean, amazingly comfortable bed. The toilets and shower blocks were very well kept and clean. Perfect……
