“Generally you won’t expect much in Cairo. Safir does provide a decent place for travellers and with good services. Breakfast buffet was decent and comprehensive. While it’s 3 streets away from River Nile, I would say the area is comparably good already - after all you can’t compare it will four seasons or Sofitel. ”

“The place was dirty, dirty floors, dirty bathroom, bugs in the bed. Still had last guest’s toothbrush most likely from 6 months ago given IT’s condition left on the hot water tank valves. Dogs running around the street at night fighting with each other. Looks nothing like IT’s pictures as posted. Will never, ever stay there again. Horrible place. ”

“Dirty and very old hotel, not even one star quality, more like a motel. 1. Poor quality. They have false positives reviews and old photos of there facilities and are poorly maintained and not updated in over 10 -15 years. 2. Photos of the hotel shown are at least 10-15 years old and the hotel currently looks nothing like the photos. Its dirty and poorly cleaned with stains everywhere, walls, bed sheets, pillows, furniture. 3. It is NOT a non-smoking hotel as listed. There is smoking everywhere……

“This is a dirty hotel with thief staff stealing from customers! The sheet is dirty which I asked the reception to change it for me, so they said they will send someone to change it. However it has never been done. The room was corrupted, the wall conner the bath room is so dated and nothing in good condition. The breakfast is also the worst among all the hotels I stayed in Cairo. The best part is the staff steal 1000 USD from my wallet! 10 notes of 100 dollar bill. The thief did not take……
